The Personal Panorama v1.0

This is an ode I had written for my Dadi (my paternal grandmother) after she passed away. In these few words I have tried to encapsulate the diversity that was my Dadi…
STAR ETERNAL
It was all so sudden, no one could foresee
You have always been there, and were always meant to be
The iron lady of this family, you were the foundation
Now we struggle to rebuild, to cope with your separation
.
Where are you now? Frankly, I don’t care
For your soul may traverse through countless lives, but it’s not here
And souls may be ever living, they may never cease
My Dadi is gone forever, she’s not with me
.
But I will not anger, for it cannot extinguish the despair
Nor will I indulge in self pity, for it cannot repair
I choose to be happy, Dadi, and celebrate your life
As you have been the doting grandmother, amazing mother, and an incomparable wife
.
And I choose to celebrate your love, and how freely you gave it
I celebrate your vibrance, with which our lives you lit
And it isn’t just your family, who will never forget
But the countless lives you touched, we’re all in your debt
.
With ordinary people, or the highest echelon
You walked the same, devoid of pride or scorn
You always adorned a panache, for which you were known
But it is due to your humanity, that many consider you their own
.
You ascend a pedestal unique, way up high
You’ve blazed a trail, and now shine in the sky
An effervescent companion, a figure maternal
You will always be, our star eternal

you are really writing beautiful poetry…touching….may her soul R.I.P.
thanks! and i know that her souls resting in peace, content…
She will always be, our star eternal.
